Herbert and Jill Derickson own and operate a Tennessee Walking Horse breeding and training facility in Shelbyville, TN. The Tennessee Walking horse has a calm, docile temperament combined with naturally smooth and easy gaits.  These gaits are the flat walk, the very exciting running walk and the "rocking chair" canter which is a trademark of our breed.  It can easily be said that the Tennessee Walking Horse is the “world’s greatest show, trail, and pleasure horse”. Their farm is located less than six miles from the famous Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration show grounds, home of where the World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse is crowned each year. The equestrian facility has indoor and outdoor riding rings, over 60 stalls and hosts 5 magnificent breeding stallions all with world champion pedigrees. Together, Herbert and Jill are carrying on a tradition shared by both of their families and they are passing on their experience and love of the Tennessee Walking Horse breed to their own children all while running a successful equestrain facility with a strong emphasis on family, Christian values, and professionalism.
